Christian Education Opportunities...

Spiritual formation through life-long learning is one of the core values of First Church. We believe that God is always calling us to deeper understandings of ourselves, our world, our faith, and God. We encourage persons of all ages to be involved in programs for spiritual growth through learning. Children's classes, youth classes, confirmation class, classes for adults, short-term classes, and long term Bible study classes based on the United Methodist sponsored Disciple curriculum fill the church calendar. One wonderful benefit that many experience as a result of these learning opportunities is all the new friendships that are made through the classes.

Our United Methodist heritage is firmly grounded in the idea that God isn't finished with us yet. We seek to grow spiritually as we journey through life, seeing everything around us through the lenses of scripture, tradition, experience and reason. At the heart of our studies is the Bible, a record of our forefathers' and foremothers' experiences with God in their lives. This biblical record informs our own experiences with God in our lives, as does the witness of others throughout history, our own daily walk with God, and the reasoning of our minds.
