A Multitude of Missions

Missions at First Church is a central focus of our effort to live as disciples of Jesus Christ and exercise our spiritual gifts. Jesus said, "when you did it to the least these, you did it unto me..." Here at First Church, we understand that we meet God in the people and places where there is need. We are called to bring hope, healing and justice in the name of Jesus Christ.

Some of our mission effort is about sharing the resources with which we've been blessed. We are financial partners with many local and world-wide ministries. Other ministries of mission at First Church are hands-on, active-involvement opportunities to be a disciple. Whether the ministry is cooking a meal for a hungry person in Phoenix, or traveling to Guatemala to teach a child to read, or swinging a hammer with Habitat for Humanity, or giving a financial contribution to a place great need, we hope and pray that every church member and friend will be involved regularly with Christian mission.
